A British teacher in Sudan was sentenced to 15 days in jail for allowing her class of 7 year old students name a teddy bear Muhammad. The teacher, Gillian Gibbons, could have received 40 lashes or up to 6 months in prison. Mrs. Gibbons will also be deported as part of her sentence.
